Automatically Connect to Wireless After Reboot

I commonly reboot my machine remotely through the VNC connection, but when it boots up, it won't automatically connect to my AirPort Extreme router. I have to choose the wireless network name before it connects. I was wondering if there is a way to have one wireless connection automatically connect after a reboot?

Two things,...the first is a potential security risk.

Set the Mac to auto login. This is done in system preferences>accounts>login options

When joining wireless networks you have the option to have OS X remember the network. If it's available it will join it. If you need to input a WEP or WPA key then set it to be remembered in the keychain.
