I accidentally dragged the download folder to the trash. I opened the trash and don't see the download folder in the list of items. Am I looking for a different folder name? Can I create a new folder for download items and place it on the dock?

Thanks!

Did you drag it from the Dock? In that case you haven't trashed it, just removed it from the Dock. It's still in Finder somewhere.

You can just drag it back from your home folder, yes. You just deleted it from the dock.

And everything on your Dock is simply an alias, or easy opening key, to your applications and/or utilities.
