ok I've got MAMP "up and running," but I am pretty frustrated with this new problem...
A friend who I am no longer in touch with made a blog for me using php and mysql. I want to learn how to use these languages enough to tweak my blog, so I backed up my whole website, then downloaded and installed MAMP.
All HTML files are in htdocs and working fine, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to access my blog. I have used phpmyadmin to set the passwords to what they originally were and nothing is happening.
I always get this error:
"Cannot Connect: Access denied for user 'MYUSERNAME' (using password: YES)"
I have asked for info on other forums and people refer me to mySQL "Getting Started" help files. I read them, and still don't know what to do. Can someone please tell me: How do I solve this specific problem???
