Lag Opening Airport Menu

When I open the airport menu on my taskbar there is a 2-3 second lag.

I am using an intel MacBook Pro with 2gb of ram.

I feel like it shouldn't be that slow. Any tips?

14" MacBook Pro M1 Pro, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD
Completely normal. This happens because every time you click the airport menu, it quickly scans for networks.
