Hi,
It's been a long time since I've posted here but I'm desperate for advice because I can't find much info online and need to go back to the source of expert advice.
I have a 13 inch late 2009 MacBook Pro with 8gb ram and a Nvidia 9400M integrated video card.
I'm looking to get the Dell u2412hm 24 inch display with 1920x1600 resolution. I know spec wise that my computer can support up to 2560x1440 but I read about users experiencing a system slowdown using screens with this resolution (which eliminated my option of going for the Dell u2713). Will I experience any performance hits using the 1920x1200 resolution? If so, I will stick with the regular 1080p displays.
I currently use a 22 inch Samsung with no problem and have no problem sticking with this size if need be although a bigger screen would be nice to allow me to lean back on my chair and type
Please share your advice or experience with using any of the monitors I've mentioned.
Thank you,
C.G.
