My macbook is playing sound every minute or so and I have problem with Activity Monitor. It sounds like chimes and I can't get access to Activity Monitor.
It may be a virus but I never heard about any for Mac.

That's because there are no viruses for a Mac (well... OS X anyway... Windows can still get its usual viruses even when running on a Mac).

You say you can't get access to Activity Monitor... will it not load? Or you just can't find it? Does this "chime" thing happen even after rebooting? Does it happen with all users on the computer or just yours (create a new user and log into that one to test this if need be)?

We can't help if you don't give us information.

"I can't access Activity Monitor" is no help. You haven't even said what Mac you have.

Aaaargh!
