He way saying that to insert an image into your message you do what he did.. it was only an example domain and image he posted, not a real one. Copy what he wrote and then remove the spaces within the tags and then put a link to an actual image where you see his link.. and then you've just created an image link...

where "domain.com" is the domain where your image is hosted, and "/images/image.gif" is the path to the file on the server.

NOTE: don't put spaces in the code

i know this is an old thread but i am back and i know html (sorta). i was wondering how come on forums the tags are different and they are enclosed with[]? thanks for answering all my questions (even though they may be stupid :D )

The tags are different because, though we don't want people to be able to use actual HTML - security reasons - we are very kind and let you use certain enhancements. VBulletin (the application the board runs off) goes through your post and changes the tags to html when you click post.

The tags are using .[ .] (no dots for obvious reason) cause this mark up is VB :)
