ipad speaker pin?

can anyone tell me what the tiny pin is for protruding through my ipad speaker. Ive used an ipad for 2 years and never noticed it?

That's not a picture of an iPad.

So you may want to provide more info on what it is a picture of since there are literally hundreds of speakers you could connect an iPad to.

I just looked mine over with a magnifying glass and there is nothing I can see that remotely looks like that it would be worth having the Apple Store examine it and without knowing what it is I definitely would not pull on it.

It does push in quite smoothly and springs back out again, as though its a switch?

Its a 3rd gen ipad A1416 ...

I have the same iPad but no push - pull pin. I have no idea either what it could be.

just weird...
wondering whether its a normal household pin thats being held in there by the magnet on the speaker?

sorted... pulled on it with tweezers..

it was a piece of graphite from a propelling pencil that has somehow managed to get lodged in one of the speaker holes.. :Blushing:
