Mac Mini os question

Has any one heard when the plan to switch the standard os on the mac from panther to tiger? I want to purchase a mac mini but worried that the mac mini will be soon relaesed with tiger and other upgrades?

most sources point to tigers release being on march 31, 2005.

Is it going to be the factory installed OS on Mac Mini, and others (such as iBook) then? I have to order one for school by April 31st, and if it is the preinstalled OS, I want to hold off until it comes out to order it.

yea, any mac bought a week or so after tigers release should have tiger installed already.

Don't get your hopes up guys. March 31 has been a date floating around because Amazon.com messed up back in Oct. Even Amazon admits it wasn't real.

I wouldn't look for Tiger until much later, I'm guess June.
