My wifi has been very sporadic going for hours at a time without being able to get to internet sites or check mail. I know I'm connected to my Netgear wireless cable modem gateway because I can occasionally connect for short periods of time for internet or use the mail app to check gmail. The speed is very fast on the rare occasion I can connect.
My signal strength is excellent but I finally get the message "Safari can't open the page because it can't find the server." or with mail "Cannot Get Mail. The connection to the server 'imap.gmail.com' failed."
This is an 8GB model which came with 1.1.4 firmware. I updated to 1.1.5 which didn't help.
I have no problems whatsoever connecting to the gateway with my laptops.
The gateway is 802.11g and the security is WEP with 64 bit encryption.
Any ideas?
