iPod in 'updated' 1984 commercial

On Apple's website, they've posted the '1984' commercial as a special part of their celebration of 20 years of Apple.

But do you notice that something has been added? An iPod has been superimposed on the woman carrying the sledgehammer.

I wonder why they did not make it pink, unless they wanted it ot be white to match her out fit. or maybe the white shows up better.

yeah either way, it is nice. But those new iPods could be anything... I can see why they would want it to be the actual iPod and not the minis..

1984(the book) and basis of the commercial

In the book 1984, it was Winston's job, in the Ministry of Truth, to update archived pieces of media to coincied the current projected reality. Ironically, Macs, and computers in general, make Winston's job very easy as shown in this new 1984 commercial.
