Isolating an Image in a Video

Having trouble searching for help...probably because I don't know the right words to search...any help would be appreciated.

I have some video and want to isolate one image in color and the rest in black/white. I know that the easy way would be to record one video and then overlay the second, isolated image via greenscreen. However, that really isn't an option for what I am recording.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I am currently editing with FCE4.
