Hi,

I am developing a sample application for mac and wasn't sure of a compatibility check in avfoundation framework.

As we know that apple has introduced avfoundation framework for mac os x programming (lion onwards). In most likelyhood it is more exhaustive and powerful then QTkit which has so far been apples "defacto" for audio and video support in mac os x programming.

The query is that if I were to make an mac application in lion os using avfoundation framework will its support be extended backwards i.e. will the avfoundation functionality work if I port the application to snow leopard ??

Would be very helpful if someone could throw some light on the same..

Thanks..

To my knowledge, Apple has never ported an API introduced in a new version of OS X to a previous version.
