Airport Express sound quality different at 2.4GHz compared to 5GHz

Today I made interesting experience: Sound quality is definitly better at 2.4GHz than at 5GHz. Does anybody has an idea why? For me it looks like Apple's software for new Airport Express is not really ready. But they sell system anyway.
