When I plug my iPod into my macbook it doesn't show up in iTunes, so I can't load any songs onto the iPod.

The computer will go a while without acknowledging the iPod, but sometimes it will tell me that the iPod is corrupted.

Is there a way to fix this? I have a feeling I don't need to get a new iPod. I googled this problem and it wasn't much help, as much of the help was for pc users.

By the way, I tried holding Menu and select for 10 seconds, that didn't work at all.

Anyone have any tips on how to fix this? Thanks!
