I recently upgraded from Leopard to Snow Leopard. My hard drive crashed so I reinstalled Windows XP SP2. Installed the Snow Leopard DVD to update the drivers in Windows. I thought that Snow Leopard had BC 2.1. The Apple updates show BC 2.1. I have already installed XP SP3. If I do the BC 2.1 update, am I screwed? Can I download the Apple updates for windows without downloading and installing Boot Camp 2.1?

Am pretty sure SL has BC 3.0, although it's been some months since I last booted into my Win partition.

Use BC from in Windows to update to 3.1. I believe that is the latest update.

BIG thanks!

ETA: how important is this BC 3.1 update? Everything is working great, I don't want to mess things up.

3.1 officially supports Windows Seven, as well as adding in drivers for things like the Magic Mouse...

If you ever use Win7, definitely upgrade to 3.1. Otherwise, you can leave well enough alone as I see you are running XP. It should not affect your current stuff however. Cheers
