hi,
i am currently doing full backups every week, and thinking about trying time machine as it seems so much more convenient and less time consuming.
one thing that i am concerned with is whether i'd be able to restore my data on a non-mac os machine, in case my macbook suddenly dies, gets stolen, etc. i only have one macbook and would obviously want to at least restore my data on more ubiquitous linux/win boxes rather than waiting till it gets repaired or having to buy a replacement machine. if anyone has suggestions or ideas, please let me know.
thanks,
alex
