Transmission Block List

I just downloaded Transmission for the first time. I watched a couple of videos on YouTube and most of them tell you to hit the Update button for the "blocklist". The problem is I can't hit it, because it's dimmed and it won't allow me. It also says "a blocklist must first be downloaded" How do I do this? Any suggestions? Also if anyone knows of any other safer settings for Transmission, please share.

You need to check the "Prevent peers in blocklist from connecting" and add a blocklist URL.
Otherwise, where should it check for the block list?
