I'd like to connect my MB (Aug 2007) to my HDTV which only has component input (no DVI, HDMI inputs). Since I need the analog signal, I realize I need to go with the mini-DVI to VGA adapter since a mini-DVI to DVI-D adapter (or any mini-DVI to DVI-I adapters I've seen) drop the analog signal.
So, the question is: Has anyone had success in going directly from the VGA adapter to component with a cable such as this? Or do I need a converter like this?
