Does anyone know if you can make a photo book in I photo and then save it so you can then go back add some specific photos save that one but still be able to go back to the original add some more and keep doing that so you don't have to re-create the book each time you want to make an individualized book of the same original photos?

I'm not sure I can answer your question, but I do know that you can save your book as a PDF file by choosing File>Print> and from the PDF pop-up button, click the Save as PDF button.
From there you can proof read and check it out (and possibly change it, add or subtract from it.) before you buy.
