Sending a text off PC via iPhone?

Hi all,

I've had a search and couldn't find an answer (maybe my search skills not up to scratch)

Basically i have an iPhone (3Gs if that makes any difference) which i keep linked up to my works laptop (Win XP) instead of having to keep typing on the phone is there any sofware that i can type on the computer.

Something like Nokia PC Suite/ Samsung PC suite etc...
