When I play or try to download a CD with iTunes on my G3 Dual USB (snow) iBook with CD ROM I get a near identical "skitch .... skitch..." noise at the begining of each track. It only ocassionally makes the same noise in the middle of a track so I cannot work out what is wrong. I tried cleaning the lens, re-downloading iTunes, wiggling the loading tray a lil bit. Any ideas what may be wrong or better how to solve the problem? I haven't saved up enough for the firewire DVD RW I want to buy yet...
