I have a dual 1.25 ghz G4 Im real close to filling my hard drive and have moved some files to my external. My question is if I want to add an extra drive are there some limits as to size & type? It seems when I researched this that there was a 120 gb limit. I would like to add a velociraptor but not sure it would be compatible Im not real confident in adding this my self but it looks like installing is not too hard any advice would be appreciated

From Googling, looks like G4's use IDE drives.
Velociraptors are SATA drives. Will not work.

You will need PATA (Parallel ATA) drives in that, but unlike earlier G4s, they do not have a 120 gig limit

You can install up to four drives in your MDD machine. Suggest getting a 500GB Ultra ATA 100, and not a SATA drive as they work in G5 and later only. When you have the drive, pop it in directly beneath the current drive and there is cable and connections already there for the second drive.

This way you get the fastest connection for you new drive. It will have to be installed as slave so go to the manufacturer's web site and check the jumper settings.
