- Currently 13" Late 2010 MBA, 4GB/128GB; Early 2011 13" MBP, dual core i7 2.7ghz, 4gb ram, 500gb hd
According to Apple Portables: Troubleshooting MagSafe adapters, yes, a higher wattage power adapter can be used on a system requiring a lower wattage. So you can use a 60w or 85w power adapter on an Air, which comes with a 45w adapter.
