Macbook Pro Unibody Screen Problems

My macbook pro took a bad spill. The spill resulted in my macbook pro's screen being faulty. At first it would black out while i moved the screen but as soon as i stopped moving it it would be fine. But now its gotten to a point where the screen barley works at all. Every once and a while if i "bend" the screen to the right it will work for a short period of time. After being feed up with this problem i took the back off to find out what was going on. I noticed the that the latch that the man is holding in the link below was what I think to be the problem because when i unplug it and plug it back in it tends to work a lot better. I was wondering where i could get this wire or what I should do, and apple is not going to work because they quoted me 1200 dollars to 1600 dollars with out even taking the back off.
