If I connect an external hard drive to a mac mini is it possible to run items on it though Front Row ? At the moment its just a case of opening the external drive and running from there.
Thanks

It sohould work on the mini. I have an iMac with all my music and videos on an external drive. I just tried, and I can play everything on the external drive through Front Row.

Cheers..

Although being a bit of a plank when it comes to computers, do you just open Front Row and it accesses the music etc that's on the external hard drive.
I just tried it on my Mac book and Front Row didn't show the films on the external hard drive...maybe I was doing something wrong or am I missing a setting or something ?
Thanks

That's all I did. I don't use Front Row, so had never done any kind of settings in the program. I don't have an Apple Remote, and since there seems to be no mouse support in Front Row, it is pretty useless to me. But that is all I did...opened the program and it was able to access everything on the external drive.
