Hello people. I have a big problem. I bought lynda's essential php training and followed through the configuration steps and it just doesn't work out. As i have read on numerous forums leopard has php stored elsewhere. I'm getting really frustrated and tired trying to make my php, apache server and mysql database work. Also in my madness i think i altered the httpd.conf file. As i have read on some forums php and apache are preinstalled in leopard. Php needs to be activated. I am a complete novice and for start i just want to make my <?php phpinfo command work.

When i type localhost in safari, the apache "welcome screen" does show up but when i type my username next to it //localhost/~user/ the X from mac os X is not there like in lynda trainer's movie.

Please can anyone help me in providing me a step by step guide to installing php and my sql on leopard? also if the httpd.conf file is altered, where can i download it from?

thanks in advance
