From Dreamweaver To iWeb

I designed a website with Dreamweaver because it allows much more flexibilty.
Now I need to know if its possible to load the HTML Code from dreamweaver onto iWeb, basicly I want to host the site I designed with DreamWeaver on iWeb.

Also, This would need to work with Google Adsense, would it still be possible to use iWeb to insert Ad's onto the site?

As for the HTML, you can just insert an "HTML snippet".

As for the Google Adsense, it's just a web widget. Same with the HTML snippet, at least in iWeb '08.

I am unclear on what you are asking, but I will answer the questions for both possible interpretations:

1. If by "iWeb" you mean "MobileMe" or ".Mac" you can upload files by dragging them to the correct place on your iDisk (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2637).

2. If you mean "Can I edit a site made in DreamWeaver in iWeb (the application)". You will not be able to move the site to iWeb. iWeb and DreamWeaver are very different creatures. iWeb is a site builder that relies on templates, and there is no easy way (read nearly impossible and very labor intensive way) to get a site created in another application and work with it in iWeb. In iWeb the pages are stored in a proprietary format, unlike DreamWeaver where sites are stored in plain text and image files.

Why do you want to downgrade?

I think you should just keep using Dw. iWeb generates really messy code that's slow-loading and uses more bandwidth.

Agreed. Going from DW to iWeb is like going from a Ferrari to a Honda (not that Honda is bad). If you can successfully design a page in DW or by hand in any editor, you are going to feel very constrained by iWeb.

As with MacHighway, I'm a little confused by your terminology. What do you mean by "host" with iWeb? Are you looking to move to iWeb as a web design solution or do you mean MobileMe?
