I just upgraded to parallels 3.0 and installed windows xp operating system again. The problem that im encountering is, windows service pack 2 will not install for some reason??? And windows xp does need this major update. I Had no problems until i updated to parallels 3.0.

What could be the problem??

Thanks

Hi there,
With Parallels 3.0, you can only install windows XP Service Pack 2 edition. You cannot install previous window and update it to service pack 2.
I had the same issue and this is what I was told. Once I got an edition with Windows XP SP2, it worked fine.
That is probably your best bet

Go to Windows Update, search for the .exe version of the SP2 update. I says something like, only to be used when updating multiple systems, IT admins only, blah blah

I did this through the IE in the Parallels Window. i saved it to the XP desktop, then ran it. Worked fine.
