AVI -> something i can watch....

i recently dl'd both seasons of dave chappelle in .AVI format, and thought i could use MPlayer to convert it to like .MP4 and then Isquint to put it into itunes... just like i did with another movie. but everytime i drag and drop the chappelle show files to convert them MPlayer just shuts down... is there another more reliable program out there i can use the convert the files?

Well, technically we can't help you out since downloading that stuff is a breach of copyright laws.

Otherwise, I am completely unaware of any good conversion software. Sorry dude

If you want to convert .avi to .mov, Divx Doctor will work without fail.
