I am thinking of buying an ibook g4 14" with a 1.2ghz processor on ebay, but the logic board is fried. the only other logic board I can find for it is a higher frequency either 1.33ghz or 1.42. If the logic board is specified for a 14" ibook g4 will it work?? I can't see why not but it never hurts to check. Thanks!

It may or may not; all you can do is look at pictures (preferably high resolution) of the two boards side-by-side and see if the major items (ports, optical and hard disk connectors, cpu, gpu, nb, ram slots, and screw holes) are in the same spot. If they are, it's worth a shot, but some other parts (the heatsink for the faster models) or custom fabrication could be required.
