MAC Address?

Hello, I go to a college where they don't allow wireless internet here in the dorms. However, some people like a friend of mine have gotten it to work by switching the MAC address on their wireless router to the address that they gave the IT people for their computer. So I was wondering if that's something that you can do for the Airport Express or if it's possible to make that work. Thanks.

If I am remembering this correctly, the Airport Base Station ID # is it's MAC address. The card in your Mac doesn't have one, or not one you can find. If you plug in to your ethernet port, it will have one. Not sure about AP Express, but somehow I doubt it....

MAC Address

Try telling IT that you got a new computer and give them the MAC address of your Airport Express.
