My new mac pro says in system profile that the superdrive should write to dual layer dvd+r, yet when I put one in, it won't recognize it.

I am using verbatim media, which I usually swear by.
Is there a compatability issue and what dvd brand would you recommend?

Use Verbatim DVD DL no problems at all. It may seem like a silly question, but it is a DL disk?

There is a difference between a DVD and DVD DL, and quite a price difference also.

I just noticed that the bottom has the rw on the bottom, duh!
