I've recently formatted a 200gb HD and it only goes up to 130gb, I formatted it in extended mode! Do I need to run the Firmware update to get it up b4 formatting again?

And is there a maximum size of HD in OS9?

What kind of Mac are you using? It is likely your Mac itself and not the OS. Many of the older Macs came with a disc size limitation due to the IDE Bus chipset. You can buy an ATA PCI card that will allow you to use the whole disc, if your Mac will support one. AFAIK, OS9 will support large drives.

yes, quicksilvers can't go beyond 127gb... you willl need an ata card, an no, a firmware update won't help.

The ata cards can be found on ebay, or http://www.macsales.com
