Firstly I am not in the market for a Pro. But I can still ask a question about one though.
I have been browsing the apple Australia site and looking at the new Pro. And came up with this.
On the screen where it talks about the Pro and compares it to the max limits of a pro and a 24" imac. it's the one after you click the mac pro in the online store. Well there it says the:
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT and
ATI Radeon HD 3870
Both use GDDR4 memory. But on the mac pro specs page and the page where you configure your Pro to how you want it, it says they both use GDDR3 memory.
What's up with this?
And looking on the US site, the compare with an imac specs page in the store has the
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT with GDDR4 memory and
doesn't mention the NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600 at all.
This is rather strange.
For the record can someone tell me if these cards use GDDR3 Memory as I suspect they would. thanks.
