Printer not recognizing my Mac

Hello,
Im new to the forums and I have a somewhat simple question for the rest of you.
I'm working on a Mac using OS X. We have an epson 9000 printer and its not recognizing my Mac or vise versa. I was curious if anyone had any tips on setting up the printer in my system preferences.
Any help would be appreciated.

Epson released new drivers just last month for your printer. Go to this link, download, and let's know how you get on please:-
