iChat file transfer problem

i used to be able to send/receive directories, and i can't anymore... this message pops up:
Your buddy cannot receive transfers of directories (folders). You could create and send a zip archive of the directory before sharing, or share each file in the directory individually.

i'm running iChat AV 3.1.8 (v445).

This happens to me too. In fact, single file transfers don't appear to be working any longer. I am having to log into Adium where file transfers are fine.

I too am using 3.1.8 (v445). Does anyone have any ideas?
