Hi,
Does the new Macbook (not pro, just regular) come with HD screen? I have one, and it's very clear, so I am wondering...?? Thanks!

No it's not hi def. The MacBook Pro 17" model has an option for a hi def screen though. Either way the screen does look amazing.

Guess it depends on your definition of HD.

HD has 2 accepted resolutions for widescreen TV's.
1280 x 720 - commonly referred to as 720p, and is the majority of HDTV's in use at the present time.
1920 x 1080 - can be either 1080i or 1080p and this resolution was introduced at the retail level of HDTV's only about a year ago. All 1080 TV's are still basically in first generation.

Even the lowly 13" MacBook has a resolution of 1280 x 800 which qualifies it as being HD.
The 15" MacBook Pro and the 17" iMac both have resolutions of 1440 x 900 - still above the resolution of 720p. All the other displays only get higher resolutions from there. Based on resolution alone, every Apple display qualifies as HD if it were a TV screen rather than a computer monitor.
