ATY Rage Graphucs Card ?

Hi, I have a Grey and blue 400mhz G3 with 428 megs of ram which is running really slow and the mouse seems to lag a lot on video games, When i check the Profiler it says that i have an ATY Rage 128video card YES ATY NOT ATI and when i download the ATI Control Panel it says Unknown Graphics , is this a duff PCI Card ?, if so could anybody recomend a descent replacement please
