I've always hated that when you want to upload something,
you have to click a "Browse" button, then navigate to the folder where the file is,
even though you probably already have that folder open in a Finder window.
(it's even more annoying if that folder is a sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-folder)

And if you're uploading 20 files, this can get pretty repetitive.

Since Mac OS X is all about drag 'n' drop, why not just drag the file into the attachment/upload box itself?

Here's an extension that allows you to do just that:

Just drag the file into the attachment box, and BOOM, it's attached.

And as you can see, it works for multiple files as well!

one exception:
The multiple file trick does not work in Photobucket.
It used to, but not anymore after they changed the upload boxes from regular ones to fancy shmancy ones.
However, you can still drag 'n' drop files one by one, of course.

Special Gmail support:

In Gmail only, you can also drag files onto the "Attach a file" link itself,
and they will be entered into the attachment boxes.
