Reinstall Microsoft without CD's???

I split the Microsoft family software with a friend of mine and no longer have access to the CD-ROM's. I've recently had a new hard drive installed and so would like to reinstall the software. I do have my product ID and Key numbers however. Is there a way to reinstall it with this information?

You might be able to contact microsoft, give them the product id/key code, say that your disc went bad, and maybe they'll send out a new one.

Thanks for the suggestion. I went to the Mac genius bar and they mentioned that I could go on line and download it if I had those codes. Does that ring a bell?

You do know that you have violated the EULA by sharing it with a friend. Family pack software is designed for just that, otherwise they would call it a friend pack.

Apparently EULA is no longer an issue on these Forums due to recent policy changes. Very sad, but not my call. If you know someone who is a MSDN member, they can download a copy of the retail DVD image for you. It can be installed via burning to DVD or to USB drive.

You are not the owner of Office and it appears your friend has dudded you, so go into the market place and purchase your own copy of Office 2008 or wait for Office 2010

Unfortunately, things have changed as of late. Apparently EULA is no longer worthy of the attention it once garnered. Very sad, but not my call.
