Closed and running?

new to this site and Mac world.

I'm still in the research phase.

Pardon the ignorance ~ but, can you turn on the PB with it closed and use an external monitor?

From what I understand if you close the pb and attach your monitor then attach a USB keyboard and mouse it should wake up.

Apple says to plug everything in while the computer is on, then shut the lid, then press a button on the mouse to wake it back up.

there is a program called "insomniaX" (freeware), that will allow the MPB to run with the lid closed.....I love it.
