Ok, so im in a pickle. One of my friends Is going to sell me an iMac G4 1.25GHz, 100Gb Hard Drive, 1GB Ram, 20" Display, and superdrive, for $600.

So my question is...Im going to be using this with Logic Express, Reason, Adobe Creative Suite 1, Should I buy the iMac G4 or should I get a stock Mac Mini, with 512MB Ram, 1.66GHz core duo, 60GB hard drive, no display, and a combo drive. I know this is probably an obvious answer but I need to know which is going to be alright with the applications I need to run.

Help is MUCH appreciated. :D

Do you already have a display?

I would have said that the extra power and ability to have multible monitors on the Mac Mini is better for logic express, instead of the extra RAM, which is easily added later.

If you are just making Audio CDs it would be fine...

You've got to think longer term really - it's a case of going for Intel or PowerPC architecture. You're buying 2001 technology with the G4. For a bit more you can have an up to date machine which will run Universal apps very quickly.
