moving an eyetv clip into final cut express

I'd like to be able to move a show I recorded using eyetv into Final Cut Express so I can capture some still images but I don't know if this is possible and if it is, how would I do it?
I am a very new mac user. It will be two weeks tomorrow that I owned a mac so I will need real simple instructions.

Use EyeTV's export function and export to a format that will be accepted by FCE.

No, but I'm sure FCE manual or help files will tell you which formats can be imported.
