I sucessfully procured an Apple Mac iBook 'Clamshell' 300MHz 'Tangerine' for free but theres to be a problem with the battery...
I got 3 apple batteries with the iBook they all seem to be low charged/ no charge to actually power the unit.
When a battery is installed and powered through the mains the dc-in glows green for about a min then glows amber but the battery display doesn't show it as charging with the lighting bolt nothing seems to happen...
I tried that PRAM reset thingy but that didn't work!? :mac:
I've read from numberous places that its possible the logic board could be fried but I highly doubt this it works fine from the mains?
I also read that it could be a faulty charger board or a faulty dc-in but rather than pay out expense for replacement parts I was wondering if only had any ideas I could try to get it working again with the battery?
