Ok i got my Iphone 2 days ago and i have a data plan for 500mb a month but my question is when im connected to a wireless internet(ex. my home) does it use up my 500mb?

No. WiFi access would count against the data plan with your home account, which if you are in the US is most likely unlimited anyway.

You would only deduct from your AT&T account when you are not connected via WiFi.

And is it 500mb or 5gb? I never looked into it, but I thought the limits were much higher than that. They are usually so high, it's almost impossible to reach them unless you are tethering your PC to the iPhone and using it as a server.

If you are in canada on Rogers when you have a 3G simple you are using your 500mb plan. At home with wifi and you have the wifi symbol you are drawing from your home internet provider.

You are not using up the 500 MB if you are connecting using WiFi. But if you connect using your Carrier's internet (Edge or whatever) then you will be using the 500 MB.

so whenever i see the 3G sign on my screen thats when i use up my 500mb but wehn i see the signal its free?
