Hi,

Do Mac deal with workgroups like Windows does?

I am looking to tell my Macbook that its on a particular workgroup? Can I do this? Or does it not need to be done?

Thanks

To specify a specific workgroup, do this:

Go to Applications -> Utilities and start up Directory Access
Click the lock to enable the controls by entering your password
Click the SMB/CIFS service and click the Configure button
Type the required workgroup name into the relevant box
Click OK then Apply to make it 'active'
Click the lock to lock it all up tight again :)

That should be all you need to do. If you have any problems just let us know.
