Mac Book Pro .... Won't start up , Help plzz!!!

Ok........I just an updated on my Mac Book pro and as soon as i finish updated the security ware , it said to "Shut Down" Which i did but now it won't start up back for nothing .
Can some one help me Figure out and get it back up please .........?

Sometimes a restart will take a bit longer after a major security or other software update.
I would suggest powering the notebook on, and then leave it sit for at least five to ten minutes.

If it is still going after 15 to 20 minutes, then something else could be at play.
