I'm trying to update an excel file by inserting a data disc with the new information on it. I've updated other PC's with the information and I've even updated the file on my Mac OS, but when I try to update my Mac with parallels, the system doesn't even acknowledge that a disc has even been inserted, although the computer clearly is spinning the disc.

Way... way too many specs to list.
is Parallels controlling the drive at that point? Sounds like it isn't. Since I'm not a parallels user, I can't help you change that.. but their help should help.
