I have a quick question for anyone who knows, I'm pretty sure the answer is simple but I of course don't know what to do.

Whenever I adjust the brightness of the screen it will stay like that for a while, but then I notice it's looks either lighter or darker and I will go to the brightness display and sure enough it's lower or higher when I haven't touched it at all. I'm sure it does this for energy reasons but it is kind of annoying, does anyone know how to change the settings so that it doesn't change by itself?

Thanks.

Answer it has an ambient light sensor that controls the brightness according to room
brightness that can be unchecked in Displays in system preferences. Also what CrimsonRequiem pointed out.
